Our Story
Built From
the Ground Up
Sullivan County Ballaz is a grassroots AAU basketball program rooted in community, built on competition, and driven by the belief that every athlete in the county deserves access to elite development.
The Beginning
Sullivan County's First
Sullivan County has always had talent. What it never had was an organized, competitive platform to channel it. Sullivan County Ballaz was founded to change that — to build the county's first true AAU basketball program from the ground up.
This is a grassroots program in every sense of the word. No corporate backing. No outside money. Just a coach, a community, and a commitment to giving young athletes something real to compete for.
Our athletes travel to compete against the best programs in the region, gaining exposure, experience, and a competitive edge that simply wasn't available to Sullivan County kids before.
Inaugural Season
Sullivan County Ballaz launches its first competitive AAU season with three programs.
Grassroots mission: Every decision we make is centered on what's best for the athletes and the community — not optics, not politics, not money.
Leadership
Head Coach
Head Coach & Program Founder
Tromain Lee
Tromain Lee is the founder and head coach of Sullivan County Ballaz. A product of the Sullivan County community himself, Coach Lee built this program with a single goal: give local athletes the competitive platform they deserve.
With a deep understanding of what it takes to develop players at the AAU level — from skill work to tournament competition — Coach Lee brings intensity, structure, and a genuine investment in every athlete under his care.
His philosophy is simple: put the work in, represent the county with pride, and let the results speak.
Programs
The Teams
Boys Program
16U Boys
High school-aged athletes competing at the AAU 16U level. This team is for players who are serious about getting to the next level — high school varsity, prep school, or collegiate recruitment. Expect a high-intensity environment focused on development and results.
Boys Program
14U Boys
The foundation program for young male athletes ages 12–14. We develop the fundamentals, introduce players to AAU competition, and build the habits that translate to high school success. This team is about growth — on the court and off it.
Girls Program
16U Girls
Sullivan County Ballaz is proud to field a competitive girls program. Our 16U Girls team competes in AAU circuits, giving young women the same high-level competitive experience and development platform available to their male counterparts — a first for the county.
What We Stand For
Our Pillars
Discipline
Excellence on the court starts with excellence off it. We hold our athletes to a high standard — in practice, in games, and in the way they carry themselves as representatives of Sullivan County.
Development
Winning matters, but it's not everything. We are committed to making every athlete better — technically, tactically, mentally, and athletically — over the course of each season.
Community
This program exists because of Sullivan County. We represent the community everywhere we compete, and we are accountable to the families and athletes who make it possible.
